I was listening to my favorite AM radio station one morning on my way to work and they were discussing a very simple but very informative topic about different and unique circumcisions around the world. One very peculiar way of circumcision is the way they do it in Turkey.

The guy that will have to be circumcised will have to wait until he is adolescent (around 21years old in the US). When he turns this age he can decide to get circumcised or not. Not getting circumcised is not a very manly thing over there but he still has a choice.

If he decides to get the circumcision, the event has to be scheduled where all the family's direct adult relatives (men and women) and their guests has to be present and witness the event. The process is to be performed by an elder that the family trusts and the process of incision is done in front of everybody who attends the event.

Once done a huge celebration almost larger than a wedding follows.
