New 12 billion Presidential Helicopter
The new Presidential Helicopter for Barrack Obama will be a VH-71 that will be made by Lockheed Martin Corporation.

The new helicopter is replacing the current presidential helicopter H-3 (Sea King) which was in service for 46 years. These were made by United Technologies Automotive.

Pentagon officials agreed to proceed with the program with Lockheed helicopter VH-71 with a cost budget of 12 billion US dollars to make the Presidential Helicopter and 23 more for the Airforce and the US Navy.

The upgrades:

1. Each of which will have 200 square feet of cabin space, nearly double the Sea King´s 116.

2. Aside from the legroom, the copter will incorporate major upgrades to the old defense and communications systems. Equally important is that the aircraft is flight-proven-the $110-million bird is derived from a European-built AgustaWestland EH101, currently doing military service for Canada and the U.K. Here, an inside look at the revamped Marine One, set to gradually go into service between 2009 and 2014.

Fuselage: Made of high-strength reinforced aluminum alloy, it can withstand crash impacts in excess of 15 Gs.

Engine: The VH-71 can shift from three 3,000-horsepower turboshaft engines to two, whereas the twin-engine Sea King must land if one engine fails.

Rotor: Five flared rotor blades increase the craft´s efficiency by up to 30 percent over conventional designs when flying at 150-knot cruising speed.

Defense System: The VH-71s, like the EH101s they are modeled on, will probably feature radar-warning receiv-ers, laser detectors and flare dispensers to deflect anti-aircraft missiles.

Cabin: Measuring eight feet wide and 25 feet long, the cabin will include a lavatory and a galley kitchen. The fold-down stair spares the president from ducking during photogenic entrances and exits.

Communications: More room for communications hardware means the president will have secure and continuous access to all White House and Pentagon computer systems and data streams.

The current helicopter in service for 46 years. First used by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957.

Black Friday Sale Not Worth Doing It

I have tried chasing the stuff I want from a store before and I am not doing this again. I feel like with a small chance of getting the thing you want you have to sacrifice a lot. It is definitely not fun and it is frustrating when you finally get there and you missed it.

I cant imagine how some people are able to camp outside the store for hours with the cold weather and a slim chance of a reward.

The store is only playing with the consumers and making them dance with whatever tune they play. I hate the feeling of being tricked.

I definitely not recommend this.

"Pearl of the Orient" Shines again
Philippine economists had analyzed that with the way the Philippine economy had been going since late 2007, the Pearl of the Orient (of course i'm talking about The Philippines) by 2010 will be a job source of Asia. The giant rises again.

You know what this means? Philippines gets to keep the best skilled workers in the world. Philippines gets to keep our best doctors, nurses, scientist, engineers and teachers in the country.

Neighboring countries like Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Thailand and even India will be rushing to the Philippines for their dream jobs.

Exportation will never be the same. The demand will skyrocket and the import demands will go down.

Philippine Weaves Cloth from Pineapple

This is very interesting and inspiring. Ive always wanted to see more coming out of the Philippines to be known internationally, not only on the entertainment biz but on all aspects of what Philippines is really made of.

Take this for example, cloth made out of pineapple. It makes sense being a large agricultural country and since we really are abundant on these.

Its about time the "Pearl of the Orient" shines again. I hope this continues.

Thanksgiving 2008

This is originally a North American culture, a celebration to give thanks for the harvest and express gratitude in general. It is primarily a North American holiday which has generally become a national holiday with religious origins.

Today, Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Thanksgiving dinner is held on this day, usually as a gathering of family members. And usually no dinner without a turkey to fill the plate.

US Automakers in Despair

US automakers (GM, FORD, and CHRYSLER) were denied the $25million dollars loan from the government. The lawmakers wanted to have detailed plans for their turnaround.

This is totally insane. I work for the automotive industry as well, actually a Tier 1 for all automakers and I am very much feeling the pain of this crisis, in fact my company has laidoff 80 percent of our workforce already.

If these companies goes down, everything else goes down. I know the lawmakers knows this but I am not sure if they realize the bigger picture and the longterm effect.

Here in Michigan, there is nothing here that does not deal with the automakers. Which means that when the automakers fail here, Michigan goes down the drain. I dont think the US will allow that to happen, just like England, Italy and France they all lost their automakers, its all been bought by their competitors now. It is America's pride to keep these companies float.

And the scary thing is that TATA Motor Corporation (an Indian automaker) is willing to buy these companies. In fact Ford has started selling. TATA now owns Jaguar, Land Rover. TATA is also interested of buying Chrysler now.

Blackberry taken out from Obama
Aids to President-elect Barack Obama say they expect the new chief executive to have a laptop on his desk even if he has to give up his Blackberry.

The New York Times reported Sunday that a federal law known as the Presidential Records Act requires presidential communications to be placed in the official record, and there is the question of e-mail security.

Obama was noticeably connected online to friends and supporters during the campaign. His team is now determining to what extent he will be able to e-mail people directly from the Oval Office.

The Times said President Bush had to step out of cyberspace after he was elected and sent out a final e-mail to 42 associates saying he would miss communicating with them.

India's Flag Landed on Moon

I just learned that India landed on the moon last Friday November 15, 2008.

With this landing, India became both the fourth country to place a flag on the Moon and the fifth group to send a spacecraft to the Moon. The other countries which have sent spacecraft to the Moon are the United States, the former Soviet Union, Japan, and China, along with the European Space Agency (ESA), a consortium of 17 countries.

Japan and China currently each have scientific satellites orbiting the Moon, though China has not yet put a spacecraft on the moon's surface.

The Good News: Newspaper
Have you seen or heard of a newspaper where all its contents are "good news". I havent seen one yet. I think it would be best to have a major released newspaper just like this. It will boost morale, better personality and character, inspire others and best of all it will be fun to read.

It would still have all the important aspects of the world from business, sports, entertainment (which is almost always good), weather, lifestyle and even technology.

It will also have the highlights of a newspaper like the Breaking News, the Top Stories, the International News and even Announcements and Advise.

I would love to see one. Ive always wanted to start my own business and looking for areas where I can invest my money, this can also be a good investment.

What do you guys think? Is this a potential good business?

Let me know. Give me some comments.

Auto Industry need Bailout

I work for the auto industry to a tier one supplier to what used to be the big three. My company is really affected of the crisis and I personally am feeling the pain of the effect. My company has been laying off people since beginning of this year and the last two weeks have been brutal. The company have laid off 80 percent of its workforce to cut its costs.

I live here in the motor city where the auto crisis has hit the hardest. Michigan has now the highest foreclosure homes and highest unemployement in the country.

The auto industry has to retool and move forward with the new technology. But it definitely needs the help of the government. It needs to be bailed out to get started again.

Towed
Terrible day today. I was really swamped at work. I was already behind my schedule to meet my deadline this Friday and suddenly I had a phone call around 1pm informing me that my car had been towed. Now I have to leave early from work to pick up my car at the impound garage where my car was brought. This only means that I have to stay longer at work or I have to work at home to catch up.

I was scheduled to bring my car to renew my license plate since Monday but it was already close when I got there. And yesterday was veterans day so it was close again. With that I had to pay 160 US dollars to get my car from the impound. Money spent for nothing. I probably have to pay another hundred dollars to get the license renewed tomorrow.

Philippines Exporting Jeepneys

Breaking news. Philippines is now exporting jeepneys (a passenger minibus or truck). Does that mean that Philippines have reached the world class quality of making trucks?

Donsal Motors, a local jeepney manufacturer received an order of at least 2,000 jeepneys for a businessman from Bangladesh and a promise of a couple thousands more if the business goes well.

Philippine jeepneys are great to ride and really affordable to buy. I think one full size jeepney (which has 40 sitting capacity, excluding the front and the roof) is worth PHP400,000 to PHP500,000 Philippine pesos or about $9,000 to $10,000 US dollars.

Women addiction to gambling rising

Experts are saying that there is a growing national trend of women turning to crime to finance their gambling habit. The surveys have been saying that women are increasingly becoming addicted to gambling.

"There's a big societal shift. Women didn't used to do this. Women are catching up to men,".

Recently there's a woman was a woman caught because she stole $150,000 from her employer and another $28,000 from the parent-teacher association chapter of which she was president, all to feed her gambling addiction.

She was sentenced in August to 18 months in prison.

The survey also says that ten years ago, 20 percent to 25 percent of calls to the gambling problem hotline involved female gamblers, but today the national problem gambling hotline -- 1-888-LASTBET -- gets about half of its calls from women.

Kitten to the Whitehouse

I also would like to see a kitten in the whitehouse. I think a manx or a turkish van is a good presidential pet. I have both pets and they are the best pets ever.

Turkish van cats are gentle, affectionate disposition. Enjoys water and will actively choose to bathe. Not very active, suited to indoor life.

Manx cats are tail-less friendly cats, affectionate, relaxed companion--an easy feline to share a home with. According to some sources the Manx is somewhat doglike in its habits; it will play "fetch," growl at an unidentified disturbance, and may follow its owner around. These cats are also known for their love of shiny objects--keep an eye on your jewelry! Manx cats like to snooze in laps and high places.

What kind of puppy will the Obama's bring to the White House?

It was very exciting when President elect Barrack Obama was announced the next president of the United States of America. It even made it more exciting when Obama announced that he was getting his daughters a puppy as their present for him being on a campaign trail and away from them most of the time for over a year.

People are wondering the kind of puppy the first daughters are going to get. I would recommend a CHIHUAHUA. (READ MORE ABOUT CHIHUAHUA)

The Chihuahua is the smallest of all breeds and has the distinction of being the oldest breed in America. They were named after the Chihuahua region in Mexico. It is believed that this breed descended from ancient breed that was larger in size and highly prized by Aztec royalty. The Chihuahua of today has a very fine bone structure, but are actually quite muscular.

Character: The Chihuahua is a very individualistic breed. They each have their own unique personality, so only a few generalizations can be made. They are commonly referred to as a "Chi". They are energetic, graceful, and display a human-like expression. Their life span is the longest of any size dog.

Temperament: The Chihuahua is deeply devoted and fiercely loyal. They typically become extremely attached to one or two people. They are bold, fearless, and highly protective of their masters. They thrive on inordinate amounts of attention. The Chihuahua is by nature gentle, loving, and sweet-tempered. They are wary of strangers and make excellent watchdogs. This breed is not well suited for children or other pets. However, they are sociable with their own kind. Chihuahuas are excellent companions in the right circumstances.

Obama Elected 44th President of America
It was a historic event yesterday. For the first time in history the ballot choices for a presidential and the vice presidential candidates were either the first african american president or the first woman vice president.

Well the people have decided and Barrack Obama is now the 44th elected President of the United States of America.

People were very emotional on the night of the announcement. I saw people seeing hope and sincerity of getting the country's problems fixed.

I know we made the right decision a million fold.

US ironically Low-Tech
Can you believe it? US being the most high-tech country in the world and its process of voting is really low-tech. It is comparable to a third world country voting process. It is even worst on some states, inconsistent paper ballots are still being used. On states that are now using the machines there have been a lot of reports that they were not working and so they ended up going back to paper ballots.

The big question is, why is it that the commission on federal elections is not funding these processes to be better. The two huge parties "Democrat and Republican" spends nearly a billion dollars each during the course of the presidential campaign and ironically the end process screws it all up to nothing. I would love to see the commission make these two parties contribute on every thousand spent on their campaign to a fund to better all election related things on both state and federal.

Obama Tragedy

Unbelievable. A day before a historic Presidential election and Barack Obama's grandmother dies. How tragic is that? She could have lived in the White house for a while before going to the next world, heck she could even be healed by living with her grandson in the white house as the President of the United States of America. May she rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Barack Obama's family as they remember and celebrate the life of someone who had such a profound impact in their lives.

Panasonic will buy Sanyo

Sanyo hanging on the edge because of the bad economy. Panasonic on the rescue. Panasonic is already in preliminary talks with Sanyo's top three shareholders -- Goldman Sachs, Daiwa Securities and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Co -- to buy their shares and take control of Sanyo.

This is another direct effect to a very problematic economy.

Barrack Obama's Victory is clear

Doesn't it make sense that President Obama has always been ahead of his opponent Sen. John Mccain since this election started. There is no way Mccain will be able to catch up. We have a new President, President Barrack Obama. Its very obvious anyway that he has the best plan to lift the US economy up and creating more jobs.
