I also would like to see a kitten in the whitehouse. I think a manx or a turkish van is a good presidential pet. I have both pets and they are the best pets ever.

Turkish van cats are gentle, affectionate disposition. Enjoys water and will actively choose to bathe. Not very active, suited to indoor life.

Manx cats are tail-less friendly cats, affectionate, relaxed companion--an easy feline to share a home with. According to some sources the Manx is somewhat doglike in its habits; it will play "fetch," growl at an unidentified disturbance, and may follow its owner around.
