Breaking news. Philippines is now exporting jeepneys (a passenger minibus or truck). Does that mean that Philippines have reached the world class quality of making trucks?

Donsal Motors, a local jeepney manufacturer received an order of at least 2,000 jeepneys for a businessman from Bangladesh and a promise of a couple thousands more if the business goes well.

Philippine jeepneys are great to ride and really affordable to buy. I think one full size jeepney (which has 40 sitting capacity, excluding the front and the roof) is worth PHP400,000 to PHP500,000 Philippine pesos or about $9,000 to $10,000 US dollars.
